Breeze House

Breeze House reimagines mid-century modernist architecture for Australia's unique climate and landscape.

The house presents as a single storey structure to the street, framed by a forked Grey Iron Bark Eucalyptus Paniculata. It’s only when you come through to the living areas that the scale of the project reveals itself as a series of pavilions staggered down the site, framing coastal views and defining external landscaped zones. A meticulously designed lap pool guides the eye seaward, while with slimline Kraus bricks echo the sandy hues of nearby beaches.

“ I was thinking about Neutra, where the design blurs indoor-outdoor boundaries to create spaces that are focused on comfort and wellbeing."
